We have seen the need for a national first class geyser service. This joint venture has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town and representation in Durban. We plan to expand this to KZN North and South, PE, Southern Cape and Bloemfontein in the near future.
Already, three major insurers are supporting it with their call centres routing callouts to the Waterlite teams.

0861WaterLite is the branded entity delivering bespoke hot water installation, replacement, and repair services via call centre operations to clients from the main centres in South Africa (Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town) and beyond.
It operates its own call centre and also together with the call centres of leading community scheme insurers, underwriters and administrators. 0861WaterLite also services home loan bankers, mortgage financiers, other insurers of homeowners as well as insurance brokers requiring a one-stop service for clients.
Waterlite Geyser Services (Pty) Ltd trading as 0861WaterLite is a South African owned company born out of the need for a national independent insurance related all-in-one geyser solution for community schemes and homeowners.
Operationally and expertise wise, it draws on the many years of experience drawn from Maxlite, which was founded in 1987, the manufacturer and distributor of the WaterLite range of solar and electric geysers.
0861WaterLite differentiates itself by being a professional service orientated company with the object of also offering a superior and longer lasting product coupled with lowest maintenance cost.
Over the years, the electric geyser market has developed to a point where the consumer is supplied with the tank that suits the plumber’s pocket, rather than a solution that benefits the homeowner and insurer. Maxlite was already manufacturing a durable and higher quality 444 stainless steel geyser for the solar market and seeing the need for a similar electric geyser model, started producing the much longer lasting WaterLite H20Max electric geyser.
Realising that the plumbing fraternity’s basic financial model rested with a product that would last just long enough to meet its warranty, WaterLite would need to develop its own inhouse distribution and installation team network. The conventional electric geyser has become almost a fast-moving consumable product, as such would not be and was not embraced by the status quo. A better quality and long-lasting product meant much slower repeat business, if any for the entire supply chain.
The sectional title insurance market, with increasing insurance premiums, higher excesses and limits resulting from a high level of geyser related insurance claims needed a solution.
The WaterLite range, with its 10-year warranty, it’s no maintenance requirements, corrosion resistant levels and easier fitment of parts makes the product particularly consumer and insurer friendly and sensible as the choice of product for replacement.
Demand has meant that 0861WaterLite should offer the full hot water installation service, whether WaterLite products or competitor products. 0861WaterLite has therefor recently expanded its call centre plumbing services with teams to operate from premises, not only in Johannesburg, but also Cape Town and Durban. Our teams provide geyser replacement and repair services for any product.
