For technical support and advice:
Be sure to have your geyser excess available (where applicable) as this will need to be paid up front as required by the insurance companies contracted with 0861WaterLite.
Most insurers will entertain a geyser replacement provided that it is outside of manufacturer’s warranty i.e. normally older than 5 years or in the case of some, 3 years. If within the warranty period, you will need to contact the manufacturer and lodge a claim with them. We can provide guidance in this regard, but they (the manufacturers) will usually send their own plumber and inspector to check warranty conditions.
The details on the geyser tag (typically a small metallic looking plate or sticker) will be needed. The details usually have a serial number and a code which denotes the month and year of manufacture. The insurance company will require a photo of this to prove the claim.
For insurance policies not linked to a call centre or to 0861WaterLite, we can certainly still assist you, with the advantage that our pricing is almost 99% certain to be within your insurer’s geyser limits.
Whilst we do understand that your geyser failure is deemed an emergency, and your priority is to simply replace the geyser with what is presently there, it would be very prudent to consider upgrading to the WaterLite H2OMax geyser as a better option. Although 0861WaterLite is linked to various insurance companies and finance companies, some may still require the completion of a claim form.
Choose a generic geyser claim form below – we provide these form-fill easy to complete forms for your convenience.
Note: These forms will be for your submission of a claim via your broker. We may not assist in the completion of claim forms as such would be in conflict with FAIS legislation. 0861WaterLite is not an insurance company, UMA, brokerage or insurance intermediary and in terms of FAIS legislation may not provide any form of advice in respect of insurance products nor may not be party to the handling of insurance claims which forms part of or defined as intermediary services.
