Q&A 2 – Must owner pay the geyser insurance excess to the plumber or is there another way?

Owners always have a problem to pay the plumber directly for the excess when replacing a geyser. they just don’t seem to want to do this. Then the problem where the flat has a tenant, same problem. Can this not perhaps be done via BC and then BC debit owner levy account. The plumber must just understand that he is not getting any money upfront of R1500. Besides the small amount of R1500 or R2000 is not going to pay the materials or labour. Any other suggestions.
